Key facts

Updated

ASOS sells the same product to more than 200 countries through country storefronts that differ in currency, language and sometimes in what is in stock. A product ID such as 204936689 identifies the item everywhere, but the price is €120 on asos.com/de, a GBP figure on asos.com/co.uk and a USD figure on asos.com/us. The everydata.io ASOS Product Data API takes the product URL of whichever storefront you care about and returns the page as one JSON object – header data, price, the colourway list, every size with an availability flag, the image set and ASOS's characteristic "About Me" and "Care Info" text blocks.

What you get

What the ASOS Product Data API returns

At the top level you get productTitle in the storefront language, manufacturer (the brand, including ASOS's own labels such as ASOS DESIGN), productId, the colourway-specific variationId, soldBy and sellerId. ASOS also sells third-party brand ranges directly, so soldBy may show a brand such as New Balance instead of ASOS. price, retailPrice, priceSaving and currency describe the offer; available and used are booleans that tell you whether the item is purchasable and whether it is a pre-owned listing from ASOS's resale range.

The variations array carries the two dimensions shoppers pick on the page: color, with each colourway's own productId and detail URL (ASOS treats colourways as separate products), and size, with ASOS's size labels ("EU 36" on the German storefront, UK or US sizing elsewhere), an available flag, price and the variant ID. features holds the bullet list, productDetails contains About Me, Care Info and similar sections, categoriesExtended the breadcrumb, and imageUrlList the images from images.asos-media.com.

Use cases

What teams build with the ASOS Product Data API

Multi-country catalogue mirroring

Retailers and affiliates keep a localised copy of ASOS items for several storefronts, pulling the correct currency, language and size labels for each from the same product ID.

Own-label competitive research

Compare ASOS DESIGN and other ASOS labels against third-party brands on the same page template: price positioning, colourway count and size range.

Fashion product matching

Use manufacturer, About Me composition text, colour names and images to match ASOS listings to your own SKUs or to the same style on another retailer.

Resale and availability checks

The used flag and per-size availability let marketplaces and stock-alert apps distinguish new from pre-owned items and detect when a size comes back in stock.

How it works

ASOS Product Data API: example request and response

Call GET /aso/lookup-product-details with a product URL. The storefront is taken from the URL path – /us/prd/…, /de/prd/… or the bare asos.com/prd/… for the UK – and is echoed as domainCode. cacheTtl defaults to 0 (realtime) and may be raised to 86400 seconds when a slightly older page is acceptable.

GET /aso/lookup-product-details

curl "https://api.everydata.io/aso/lookup-product-details?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.asos.com%2Fus%2Fprd%2F205092907&cacheTtl=0" \

ASOS Product Data API: fields of the example response from /aso/lookup-product-details

Colourways on ASOS are distinct products: each entry in the color dimension has its own productId (returned as asin) and dpUrl. The price fields on colour entries are 0 because ASOS does not print prices in the colour picker – call the endpoint with the dpUrl to get that colourway's own price and size grid. Size entries, by contrast, belong to the current product and carry real prices and stock.

Text fields follow the storefront: a /de/ URL returns German titles, size labels like "EU 36" and a German About Me block; a /us/ URL returns English copy and US sizes. If you normalise across countries, key on productId and treat domainCode as the locale.

A 404 with statusCode and statusMessage means ASOS showed no product at that URL – most often a category or brand page pasted by mistake, or an item that has been removed. Upstream 5xx responses are not charged.

Pricing

ASOS Product Data API pricing: pay per request

One product page in one storefront equals one request; the same product on /us, /de and /co.uk costs three. The free tier's 100 monthly requests cover a proof of concept, Starter (5,000 requests, €30) refreshes about 160 product-storefront pairs per day and Production (50,000 requests, €80) roughly 1,600. Failed upstream fetches are never billed.

ASOS Product Data API: frequently asked questions

Which ASOS storefronts are supported?

Product lookups accept URLs from the German (asos.com/de), US (asos.com/us) and UK (asos.com, domainCode co.uk) storefronts. The response echoes domainCode and returns the matching currency – EUR, USD or GBP.

Do I get a price for every colourway?

Not from a single call. Colourways are separate ASOS products, so the color entries only carry the ID and URL. Fetch each colourway's URL to get its own price and sizes.

What is the difference between productId and variationId?

productId identifies the product page; variationId is the colourway currently shown (ASOS calls it colourWayId in its URLs). Sizes have their own variant IDs inside the size dimension.

Can I get customer reviews as well?

Yes. GET /aso/lookup-product-reviews takes productId, domainCode and page and returns the product object plus a paged reviews array with rating, text, colour bought and secondary ratings for fit and quality.

How fresh is the data?

By default every call fetches the live page. Set cacheTtl to a number of seconds when a recently cached page is acceptable; cached responses are faster and flagged in your usage statistics.
