Product data from alternate.de, one of Germany's large PC hardware and electronics shops. Search by keyword and get brand, price, strike price, star rating and availability for 24 products per page, or open one product by link or article number and get the price with RRP, shipping cost, delivery window, EAN, manufacturer part number, full specifications, category path and variants such as other capacities. No customer reviews or reviewer data.

### What data does the Alternate Product Data API return?

PC hardware and electronics shop: search and product details with prices, RRP, stock and specs. The API has 2 endpoints under the /alt path – search products and product details – and every response is structured JSON that starts with responseStatus and responseMessage.

### What does “beta” mean for the Alternate API?

The endpoints and response fields are usable today, but they can still change and the platform is not yet counted in the headline success rate. Blocked or failed calls are not billed.

### How much does the Alternate API cost?

A call to the Alternate API counts as 1 request against the monthly quota. The Alternate API is included in every plan and shares one quota with all other platforms: 100 free requests a month; paid plans from €30 a month for 5,000 requests (€1.00–€6.00 per 1,000 requests). Failed requests (5xx, blocked pages) are not counted.

### Is the Alternate data realtime?

Yes. Each request loads the live Alternate page when you call the API – there is no database of old snapshots in between.

### Do I need a Alternate account or an official Alternate API key?

No. You only need an everydata.io API key, sent in the x-api-key header. The free plan works without a credit card.

### What happens when Alternate blocks a request?

The API retries the fetch automatically. If the page still cannot be loaded you get a 502 or 503 error, and that request costs no quota. Success rates and response times per platform are measured around the clock on the status page.

### Can ChatGPT, Claude or an AI agent use the Alternate API?

Yes. Connect the hosted everydata.io MCP server and the assistant can call every Alternate endpoint as a tool, or register the plain HTTPS endpoints as functions in any agent framework. The endpoint list is also in /llms.txt and the OpenAPI spec.
